Peek-a-boo Bear

• Read the story and let your child lift the flaps
• Support your child to press the matching animal button – listen and copy the animal sound
• Point to the animals and say their name eg: ‘cat’
• Following the theme of the story, model ‘ready, steady, peek-a-boo!’ as you and your child lift the flap
• After reading together a few times – maybe you can make the animal sound before lifting the flap and allow your child to press the matching button

Beyond Spot’s Noisy Peek-a-boo

• Play a game of peek-a-boo using the toy in the pack and the scarf
• Use one of your child’s favourite toys – they can hide too!
• Remember to use and repeat single words and extend and adjust your language to your child’s level.
